About Mrs. Trent
I have been teaching at Lake in the Hills School since 1998. When I started here, I was the reading teacher for first and second grade in the hallway. Later that year, I was hired as a first grade teacher. Two years later, I moved with most of my class to second grade. For the past several years I have been teaching third grade. Last year I moved to a new room--Room 16. This year I moved back to second grade. Prior to coming to Lake in the Hills School, I taught fourth and fifth grade at Hopewell School in Ohio and was a substitute teacher for several years here in District 300. I had several long term subbing positions in special edution and a year long position as a long term sub in third grade at Parkview Elementary.
I was born and raised in Zanesville, Ohio. I am a graduate of Muskingum College and received my Masters degree from St. Xavier University. I also have taken extra classes so that I am able to teach English as a Second Language and have extra classes in Gifted Education.
I have always liked children so that is the best part of my job. I do not even feel like I am going to work--I just am going to schoool.
